brighttalk.com webcasts record only mp3, no video

 see topic, please.

Hi Bernhard,

Are you able to record other sites such as YouTube in full video?

Can I check that you have Default conversion selected at the bottom of the Jaksta window?

Are you able to send us a link to a webcast that demonstrates this problem?

Also after trying this again, can you send your log file to us? You can find it by going to the Preferences and clicking Find Log File.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

Yes.

Yes.

That would be a problem, as site requires login.

After investigating a bit it seems that the site doesn't stream "real" videos. They deliver recorded webcasts with audio and presentation slides that will be changed (per script?) at predefined points in time.

Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for the log.

Some sites stream the audio and video parts of their movie in separate data streams, which means we need to download them separately and them assemble them at the end. This is what we do for YouTube. It looks like brighttalk.com is doing the same thing, however Jaksta is not detecting the video part, only the audio stream.

This is something that would probably require an update to Jaksta to fix.

If you are able to send us a private email to support@jaksta.com with login details and a link so we can test this out, we would appreciate it. You can certainly change your password a few days later after we've tested it here. No problem if you're not comfortable doing this.

Thanks,

Ben
