Hi James,

First can you ensure that you have the latest version of Jaksta:

Can you say what browser you are using? Can you check if you are unable to view websites in Safari, Chrome and Firefox? Do any of them work?

Thanks,

Ben

I'm having the same problem and have been for a while. I'm using Safari. Once you start Jaksta, it automatically enables a proxy and makes the browser and other applications unusable.

Hi Jonathan,

Jaksta uses a local proxy in order to capture video data, but all proxy data should pass straight through to the browser.

First, can you try reinstalling Jaksta:

If the proxy server has somehow lost permissions, this can fix it. Maybe even restart your machine.

Next, do you see the same issue in Chrome and Firefox? Even if you want to use Safari, it's worthwhile to check.

Note that in Firefox you may need to visit this link while Jaksta is running:

http://localhost/jaksta.cer

Thanks,

Ben
