I have Jaksta Media Recorder for the Mac version 1.5.1 and it doesn't seem to be able to record video off of Facebook.  Can you please tell me what settings i need to have to be able to record video streaming on a Facebook link.  In Safari I get an mp4 file that doesn't seem to be able to be played by Quicktime so i don't even know if it recorded the correct stream, and with Chrome I get nothing, with Firefox I get log-in or sign-up zero byte streams.

You're correct, that does not seem to be a valid video file.

Are you able to send us a direct link to the video?

The next time this occurs, can you send us the log file? You can find it by going to the Preferences and clicking the Find Log File button.

Same issue w FaceBook. Have you resolved this.
I have 1.5.1 on Mac, OSX 10.11.6 tried using Safari and the video is 0bytes, so it is recognized but not downloaded. nothing there. Thanks

Hi Mark,

Sorry for the very long delay in my reply, it seems lost track of your email.

Have you encountered many other videos that don't download, or just this one? I ask because I can reproduce the same problem with this particular video from here, but any other facebook videos I try seem to work. It may just be one specific content provider that does not work.

For the time being it may be best to use a screen recording app to capture these videos.
