Can you try reinstalling the latest version:
If this does not help can you send us the log file? You can find it by going to the Preferences and clicking the Find Log File button.
I'm having the same problem and I have reinstalled the latest version. I have attached the log file and will wait for your response.
Firstly, from what I can tell in your log you aren't actually running the latest version of Jaksta. We have just recently released Version 2 of Jaksta Media Recorder (formerly named Jaksta for Mac), which is a paid upgrade, but even then it looks as if you are running 1.4.6 when the latest 1X version we had was 1.5.1.
So first I would suggest installing V1.5.1 and seeing if that helps. You can get the installer here: http://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/Jaksta-1.5.1.pkg
If the program is crashing on startup, then when it is reopened there should be an info window that pops up giving you some text and then 3 options - Reopen, Report and Ignore. If you get this notice, then click on Report and it should direct you to a crash log. If you can get that far, get a copy of the crash and attach it to your reply email.
Jaksta used to work for me a year ago.
now when I open it - it either crashes or says" INSTILLATION ERROR - Configuration Daemon Not Running"
