Could you please send through a log file the next time this problem occurs?
You can find the Jaksta log file by going to the Preferences and clicking the Find Log File button.
A screenshot of any errors/notifications that you get would be helpful as well.

Please send the log file itself, and not just copy and paste a large chunk of code from the file.
People do that sometimes and it makes these threads very messy :D

Ok, here it is. Just tried downloading the video again. Doesn't work. You can see it all the way at the bottom of the log file.

Is it just this site that is giving you failed downloads, or are you getting the same problem when you try and capture normally, such as videos on YouTube?
If it is just this site, then it is most likely the streaming method that they use or some kind of block they have applied for membership videos.
It also looks as if you are running the newest version of Mac OS (10.12.4), which some people have experienced problems with since updating and we are yet to release an update that addresses this (but soon). In the meantime, possibly reverting to the previous version of Mac OS may make it compatible again.
Start by doing a reinstall of Jaksta and see if that fixes it. If the problem is within Jaksta, starting it fresh should fix any break in the processing of the program. If it doesn't, then try an older version of Mac OS if you feel like it's worth the try.
If that does not help, then you may just need to sit tight for the next update. You should receive a notification once it is released.

Now I see there's an new version 2.0 for Mac.
And you're asking me to PAY for it.
Is this a joke? I cannot believe this.
I bought a product from you which BROKE.
And now I need to PAY to get a fixed version?
If this is true, I want a full refund for the version I bought before.

In this particular instance, because you have only purchased Jaksta recently AND are having problems, I am able to offer you a free activation for Jaksta Media Recorder 2.0. You should receive an email shortly.
I have sent an activation email that you should receive shortly, which you can use to activate the 2.0 version. Hopefully that will resolve the issues you are experiencing.
Keep in mind though, as I said previously, if you are not getting failed downloads on ALL sites (YouTube, Vimeo etc.) and only on some sites that require membership, logins or provide premium content, then it is most likely the sites that have found a way to alter their streaming methods that block the capturing and not a problem with Jaksta itself.
But hopefully with the 2.0 version it will all be resolved.

I am using a mac with the latest operating system and most updated version of Jasksta. When I try to record a video on Youtube it works fine. When I try to record a video on a membership video site it is now working. The video player is using wistia. In the log it will pick up the video and start streaming with the name, but as it starts to stream it says "discard". Or it will record with a low file size like 707kb when the video is probably at least 60mb.
Any solution to this error?
