NOT CAPTURING ANYTHING AFTER APPLE ID FIX
Hi Alex,
Have you tried reinstalling Jaksta at any point? If you have not, then that might be a good starting point.
In the newest version of Jaksta, you can find the log file by going to Preferences > General > Find Log File (button down the bottom right) in Jaksta.
A screenshot of the main Jaksta screen may also help.
Start with that and we will go from there :D

Could you please send through the log file itself? What you have copied is just a small part of the startup procedure, which actually doesn't tell us much.
You can find the log file by going to Preferences > General > Find Log File (button down the bottom right) in Jaksta.

Hi Alex,
Did you end up trying the reinstall? Can you also provide a link to a video/site that you are having problems with?
In case you are not aware, there is a new 2.0 version of Jaksta that we released last week. Unlike the normal updates which have been free for several years, this is a paid upgrade to a new version which we are offering a discount upgrade offer to existing license holders.
If you feel it is worth it, you could install it in trial mode and see fi that fixes your problem. If it does, then you know that the issue is within the program and you also know that upgrading to the new version will solve the issue. If not, you know it is either the sites you are downloading from or the setup of your machine itself, which may have been altered after you solved your Apple ID problem (which it sounds a bit like it is).

Mostly the log file looks to be OK. It appears that the program is starting up as it should, then it begins monitoring and the downloads are successful. It doesn't seem to fail when it gets to conversion, as it comes up saying 'no conversion necessary', which means it has decided that the conversion was not needed rather than it failing.
It does say that it has detected a VPN, which comes sometimes affect the proxy settings and interfere with web traffic. This was a bit of a problem in the now old version that you are running, but sometimes it just detects false positives and they really have no effect.
If you are running a VPN, try turning it off and just run some tests with YouTube videos - keep it simple.
At this point, especially because you have made changes/updates on your machine form the Apple ID fix, I would suggest updating to the trial version of Jaksta 2.0 just so you can determine whether the issue lies in your machine or if there is some kind of conflict that the old version has with your settings that the new version hopefully will not.

I know it was a little while ago now but are you able tell me what changes you made to your system when you had the issues with your Apple ID sign in?
It seems like the problem started then and could be the result of some altered settings.
In the meantime I have sent your log to the Dev team to see if they can learn anything from it.

Hi again Alex,
I have something else that you can try.
When you run Jaksta, it implements its own proxy settings and when there is a conflict or the changes are not done right then this can create various proxy issues.
If you go to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies, then you should have nothing ticked on when Jaksta is not running.
When you open it, you should find that Web Proxy (HTTP) and Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) are turned on. If you then select Web Proxy (HTTP) you should be able to see what the Web Proxy Server is. As seen below, it should be localhost: 3129. Normally this should be set by Jaksta when it runs the config daemon, but for some reason it may not have. Change it manually and then do the same for Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) if needed.
After making the changes, close Jaksta and then reopen it and give it a test. From this point on these settings should be retained and should not need to be set again.
Let me know if this helps to resolve your issue or not.

I am having problems capturing any videos from any website, including YouTube!
This started happening right after fixing my issues with the Apple ID sing-in. The password I was using in my main desktop computer (an iMac running Mac OS 10.6.8) was not being recognized by either my iPhone or my laptop (a MacBook Air from early 2014, running OS X El Capitan 10.11.16). I am running Jaksta on the MacBook.
I called the Apple helpline and I was guided through a series of checks and updates, which involved checking the time and date, rebooting (using several combinations with alt+Cmd+ctrl, which I cannot remember) in different ways to prompt a double Apple start "chime" sound, and rebooting my modem. I updated to Sierra, but that didn't solve the problem.
I know I should send a copy of the log, but I can't find it in the new version...
