Recently I upgraded to Version 2.0.0 (219) as well as Smart Scroll. I noticed that the mouse pointer movement began to be unpredictable and jumpy.
I isolated the two new apps and found that the problem begins when I open Jaksta Media Recorder, and continues if I turn it off or quit it, until I re-boot.
In addition to the mouse pointer effect, Quicktime and sometimes iTunes playbacks "stutter" or otherwise glitch from time to time, which seems to be most likely if I am moving the pointer and it gets jumpy; the phenomena all occur at the same time
One other thing developed: when first installed it would make the alert sound when it had finished downloading or converting (mp4 to mov), but it has fallen silent at those times. It still makes the usual sound when it it turned off or back on.
Any advice or beginnings of creating log file — whatever — will be greatly appreciated.

I'll do that. The characters on these keys too easily rub off so I bought a second set of keyboard + mouse. When I have time to experiment I'll plug in the other mouse and let you know.
One other thing I did before the reinstall that I did not mention: My startup drive is a 480GB solid state and before I did the re-install I made sure that there was over 30 GB free space; 36GB, actually. It occurred to me that something might be using/trying to use the free space and electrons were tripping over each other in it. Just in case.
That is somewhat good to hear.
One other thing I would suggest is trying a different mouse and seeing if you experience the same problem. That will help narrow down the source of the problem. For whatever reason it may be the mouse that is affecting the programs. Even if it is not likely it would still be worth checking.
Yeah, after I wrote I went to do that and that was when I remembered I had the bundle this time.
I did the uninstall-reboot-install-shutdown overnight.
This morning when I had occasion to use Media Recorder, I noticed the mouse jumpiness was greatly reduced. Limited audio and video playbacks did not exhibit the "stuttering" I mentioned in the first email.
I know it doesn't make a lot of sense — it's not like hitting a rough spot with sandpaper one more time, but I will repeat the uninstall-reinstall and see if the mouse jumpiness is even less or has totally gone away. Might wind up doing that this evening.
Seeings as you should have the bundle installer which does all of them, you may as well do the lot.
It won't cause any harm and it will just be more thorough.
Should I do that for all apps or just Media Recorder?
I would begin by doing a hard reinstall - uninstall, reboot, reinstall.
I have never come across or heard of Jaksta causing any kind of glitchiness with the mouse or any other programs. However, if it is the cause it will most likely be due to a break in the programs processes which the reinstall will reset.
You could potentially also try updating your OS and see if that affects anything.
If the problem persists after the reinstall, please send through a log file. You can find it Jaksta by going to Preferences > General > Find Log File.
