Hi Michael,
Thanks for the log file.
Can you start by checking your proxy setting when Jaksta is running and monitoring is ON? You can find them by going to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and then check and see that Web Proxy (HTTP) and Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) are both turned on and have the same properties as seen below (they should both be the same). If they are not, then you can alter them manually. These are the custom proxy settings that Jaksta applies when it is monitoring, so if they are not correct then it will not work properly.
If that all looks normal, then could I please get you to try doing a full reinstall and then reattempt a normal download?
What you will need to do is delete the app (uninstall) from Applications instead of just reinstalling over it. Then in Finder go to the top menu and then access Go > (holding one of shift/alt/control/command) Library > Application Support > Jaksta Media Recorder and delete that folder (NOTE: doing this will erase your library file list in Jaksta, but your downloaded/converted files will remain intact). This folder and its files may already be deleted when the app is removed, but it's a good idea to double check and be thorough in case it remains and is reused when the app is reinstalled. Reboot the Mac and then do a reinstall of the latest version (https://www.jaksta.com/download/mac/jaksta-media-recorder) and it will regenerate a new copy of the deleted folder and the application files.
If it then still fails, could you please send through another log file.
Regards
Liam

Jaksta used to work fine, but now it no longer recognizes streams. I load a video in a browser window, and Jaksta does nothing. I've tried it with a simple web page I created with .mp4 and Flash videos, not encrypted or anything. Not using a proxy or firewall, to my knowledge.
