Hi George,
Development is looking into this and hopefully a fix can be built into a new update in the near future.
I will do my best to inform you when a new build is ready to use.

Thanks for your response, Liam! Eagerly awaiting such an update.
Hi George,
We have a new beta build that I was hoping I could get you to try.
You can get the installer here - https://cdn.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/2.2.2_257/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg
Please report back and let me know how you go.

Thanks! Looks pretty good but there were some minor problems with the recorded (flv) stream.
I use VLC Player which is a pretty flexible, powerful tool that can play most streams.
The duration on the stream wasn't set correctly, so the player thought the stream was 1s long when in fact it was ~3 minutes. This meant that the display and some of the controls were "fooled" but the player would still play past the early "end" of the stream and advance beyond it in order to play the whole clip. So the data is there, just the timing information is wrong.
I may be able to try on a variety of sites later to see if it's generally working okay though.
Hi George,
That is semi-good news.
The main thing is that it produces a playable file, but if the incorrect duration issue is a common occurrence then we will need to look into it.
We'll wait to hear back from you after you have done some more testing.

Ok, I thought I had this working but now it's totally not. I'm using the latest build 2.2.5 (272) and when I go to a page where it streams I get a single zero-length stream that completes immediately.
Hi George,
It would be best if you could send us through a clean log file.
To get a clean log, you will need to do the following:
- Open Jaksta Media Recorder
- Go to Preferences > General > Find Log File
- Close JMR but keep the Finder window with the log file open
- Delete the log file and still keep the Finder window open
- Reopen JMR (this will generate a new log file)
- Run one test on a standard video stream that you know gives an error/failsĀ
- Close JMR once it fails or wait until it crashes
- Go back to the Finder window with the new log file and attach it here (don't copy and paste the code in it - send the file itself)

Ok, got a clean debug log. It captures lots of irrelevant content but look for the actual RTMP download attempt, see attached.
Note the above is actually maybe not an HTML5 stream - that seems to be a separate problem, and I thought it was because it was HTML5, but perhaps this is a different problem with RTMP? Same result, get a zero-length output file.

According to https://www.jaksta.com/support/windows/technical/jaksta-media-recorder/jasmin-html5-6000049638 it seems the Windows version now supports recording HTML5 streams! When will Mac get this support, for sites like jasmin.com? It's sorely needed.
