Generally speaking from my own experience and from other users, Jaksta is fairly compatible with various VPNs. It used to have a conflict in some cases, but that is largely resolved now.
The VPN that I use is called IPVanish and it has always worked quite well. The only way to know for sure is to test Jaksta with whichever VPN you are wanting to use.
But ultimately it should work without much effort, and no real 'workaround' or extra settings should need to be configured.
