64 bit sometime soon?

Basically, the title is the question. I am ready to move to Mojave for macOS, but "QTConvert", which is inside the Jaksta apps, is still 32 bit. I do use QuickTime a lot, so I am waiting. If QTConvert is an Apple component that would be upgraded via the move to Mojave, let me know. Thanks.

Hi Tim,

QT Convert is actually now redundant and will be removed at some point. Jaksta Converter should still work if you update to Mojave or Catalina.

I am currently running our latest beta (of all the apps) that are working for me. You the Deluxe Bundle installer for here: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/2.2.6_288/JakstaDeluxe.pkg

That should remove any errors or issues oyu might encounter.

When you try to run the installer you will get a notice that effectively says it won't run it for security reason. Just go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General aand then down the bottom there will be a button that says 'Open Anyway'. Press that and then it should run the installer.

There is a bit of a UI bug in JSR 2.2.5--see attachment. Also, I installed from the link in your email, which has 2.2.6 in the link, but Converter and JSR are both 2.2.5 in Get Info. Media and Music Recorders are both 2.2.6.

And by the way, I'm using Catalina. I have no idea why I typed Mojave!

And finally, JSR gives me "quit unexpectedly" as soon as I select a streaming Netflix window. The log is attached. Screen recording is enabled in Privacy. A crash log is attached.

Not trying to grab the whole thing ... just want about 6 seconds. I have a friend with whom I share little bits of movies where they messed up.

Hi Tim,

Converter and JSR should still both be 2.2.5. They have not been updated in the beta bundle-installer.

To remedy the UI bug, I would suggest rebooting our Mac. If that doesn't help then i would suggest doing a basic reinstall - uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Let me know if it still remains after that.

The crash report lists the cause as a privacy error.  Go to System Preferences > Privacy > Microphone and make sure 'Jaksta Screen Recorder' is ticked ON. This might be the setting that you are missing, as you already have the Screen Recording permission turned ON. Try using a different recording mode, such as Region, if the problem continues. If that doesn' help then can you do a test recording of anything else - ie. not  Netlfix, and let me know if you get the same result.

Yesterday I rebooted and reinstalled many times. I even deactivated first. The UI bug comes and goes, and sometimes even it's general behavior is different; see Redraw.png.

The crash is still here and the JSR is enabled for the mic. The attachment JakstaLog2.txt was a crash when recording a folder in Finder. All five recording modes crash.

The attachment NoAudio.png is strange. I chose Region and no audio, and these two pop up right after clicking the red Record button. JSR is enabled for recording the screen. Note I get these two warnings for the first time after a reboot; subsequent uses of JSR result in only the AVScreenShack alert.

Hi Tim,

At this point I would suggest doing a full reinstall. If there is a break in the programs processes then this should reset them.

What you will need to do is delete the app (uninstall) from Applications. Then in Finder go to the top menu and then access Go > (holding one of shift/alt/control/command) Library > Application Support > Jaksta Screen Recorder and delete that folder (NOTE: doing this may erase your library file list in JSR, but your existing recording files will remain intact in their destination folders). Reboot the Mac and then do a reinstall of the latest version (https://www.jaksta.com/download/mac/jaksta-screen-recorder) and it will generate a new copy of the deleted folder and the application files.

Once you run JSR make sure you select 'Allow' for any popup permission requests for the microphone, screen recording etc.

Let me know if the problem continues.
